Taiyō is a multilingual (English, Japanese, Hindi and Bengali), International, Peer-Reviewed, Refereed, Open Access, and Bi-annual e-Journal. 

 

As an interdisciplinary domain, Japanese Studies has garnered escalating prominence commensurate with the global intrigue surrounding Japan’s multifaceted historical narrative, vibrant cultural milieu, technological innovation, and socio-political intricacies.

 

In furtherance of enriching the scholarly discourse within the sphere of Japanese Studies, Taiyō endeavors to function as a nexus wherein erudites, researchers, and aficionados converge to scrutinize and deliberate upon the manifold facets of Japan, thereby fostering a nuanced comprehension of its societal fabric and cultural tapestry. In pursuit of promoting accessibility and inclusivity, we christen this scholarly journal “Taiyō-Journal of Japanese Studies,” envisaging it as an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed, refereed publication. Moreover, the journal shall embrace submissions in a plethora of languages, including Japanese and English, thereby accommodating a diverse spectrum of contributors and readers alike.

The envisaged journal aspires to ascend to preeminence within the domain of Japanese Studies, delineating itself as a vanguard platform for erudite inquiry while concurrently engendering a global consortium of scholars impassioned by the Japanese milieu. By espousing an interdisciplinary ethos and propagating cultural symbiosis, Taiyō-Journal of Japanese Studies harbors aspirations of significantly enriching the ever-expanding corpus of knowledge concerning Japanese society and culture. Taiyō commenced its journey in 2024 and released its first Issue in May 2024.
